Production Technician

Newcastle upon Tyne | Full time, 35 hours per week | Up to £28,000 + bonus

We’re looking for a practical, detail oriented Production Technician to join our growing Production team at HistoCyte Laboratories.

This is a hands on laboratory role supporting the manufacture, quality control and preparation of our cell based control materials used by pathology laboratories around the world.

You’ll work across different stages of the production process, including product manufacture and processing, histology based activities such as embedding and microtomy, quality checks, packaging and preparation for dispatch. You’ll also maintain accurate production records and work closely with colleagues across Production, Cell Culture, Quality and Supply Chain.

What we’re looking for

You’ll have experience working within a laboratory or scientific environment, with excellent attention to detail, good organisational skills and confidence following documented procedures and maintaining accurate records.

Experience in histology, embedding or microtomy, laboratory manufacturing, or working within an ISO, GMP or GLP regulated environment would be advantageous, but isn’t essential and training will be provided where required.
